Life’s better connected
Canalside is the eco-conscious new identity of a 74-acre area of Woking now under development, bordered by the Basingstoke Canal to the north, and planned to include a large central park and tree-lined avenues at its heart.

development
Borrowing design details from the Arts & Crafts movement, Canalside will be distinctive by design. Bordered to the north by the canal, 12-phases of quality homes for private rental and sale will be set around a large central heathland park within three distinctively themed areas, Canalside, Heathland and Arts & Crafts.
connected homes
Canalside will encompass a range of homes for sale and to rent. All will be energy-efficient, high-quality dwellings ranging from chic apartments to 5-bedroom family houses. Self-contained homes for the older generation will help to complete a thriving community environment for residents across three themed areas.
Ultrafast Broadband
Among the fastest broadband currently in the UK will help you work, rest and play.
Electric Car Charging
All new houses and many of the apartments created within Canalside will have the benefit of an EV charging point for our future travel needs.
Nature & Biodiversity
Green streets, tree-lined, biodiverse pedestrian corridors with links to the canal and heathland.
On-site Support
An on-site management team will help ensure the happiness and safety of everyone.
Energy Efficient
Eco-conscious, energy-efficient building design and construction practices. District Energy Network and Solar Energy Systems to help reduce your carbon footprint.
Great Community
A great sense of community - assisted by a new community centre, pre-school nursery, health centre, pharmacy and dentist’s surgery as well as units for shops and restaurants, with space for outdoor dining.
Communal Areas
As well as the developments parks, many of the apartment buildings will also benefit from private podium gardens for their residents to meet with friends and neighbours for a coffee.
Leisure Facilities
Places to socialise and play including a new leisure centre and 25 m pool. All-weather playing fields, tennis and netball courts.

Canalside living
A large central heathland park will bring open space and nature into the development making it the ‘green heart’ of the community.
Landscaped, tree-lined avenues will lead to relaxing walks along the canalside Saturn Trail and the ancient biodiversity of Horsell Common – all within a short stroll.

Earn your deposit
Each year, ThamesWey sets aside a sum of money based on the size of the rental property. Under the current scheme, the contribution paid for a studio apartment would be £1,600, rising to £2,400 for a two-bedroom home and £3,600 for a four-bedroom house.
The amounts paid are based on the long-term growth in property values and are reviewed periodically. At the end of each year, ThamesWey will write to tenants to tell them how much value they have built up under the scheme. Up to £80,000 can be accumulated in this way, representing a substantial lump sum towards a deposit if you follow its rules.
